Financial services sales recruitment is set for a resurgence in 2009, according to a new survey.

The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) shows that more than two thirds of executive search firm heads are in agreement that financial services recruitment will recover soon.

Some 44 per cent believe that the sales jobs and other recruitment markets will start their comeback as early as January.

Peter Felix, AESC president, explained that he expects aspects of the financial services jobs market to continue to perform well in 2008 despite the financial downturn.

He said: "The activity we are seeing in selective parts of the sector will continue through 2008 and our members are optimistic that the overall job market in financial services will rebound in early 2009."

Meanwhile, Adam Fox-Edwards, of management consultancy Woodhurst, notes in Consultant News that there has been significant demand for financial services jobs in the oil and gas sectors.

As a recruitment provider to many of the UK's major banks, mortgage lenders and building societies Aaron Wallis have a deserved reputation within Financial Services recruitment. Their dedicated FS consultants recruit sales professionals across Retail Banking and Financial Services including IFAs and Mortgage Broking.
