Finance professionals 'failing to take holidays'
Finance professionals in the UK, potentially including those with sales jobs within the sector, are not making full use of their annual leave, according to new research.
Produced by FSS, the figures suggest that more than half of such people fail to take all the holidays they are entitled to.
Of these, 40 per cent cite their busy schedules as the main reason for their reluctance to leave the office, Online Recruitment magazine reports.
Meanwhile, of the finance professionals who do manage to get away, just under a third stated they would be taking work with them.
The findings of a survey conducted recently by TheLadders.co.uk suggested that 82 per cent of UK executives plan to stay in contact with their workplace during their summer break, with more than half (58 per cent) admitting they find it hard to forget the concerns of the office while spending time with their family.
