Sales jobs: Staycations could boost UK economy

People looking for sales jobs could be interested in the news that more people could choose the UK as their destination of choice for a summer holiday and bolster tourism sales jobs in the process.

Sharron Livingston, editor at The Travel Magazine, said that the trend for more Brits to discover their own country this summer could lead to a resurgence in so-called staycation holidays over the next few years.

She said: "The new buzz word is 'staycation' - a word that describes holidaying in the UK. Now that the Brits have rediscovered their own country, the staycation may well remain popular."

Her comments come after research from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed that visits to the UK increased by four per cent between April and June of this year, compared to the previous quarter.

People trying to secure sales jobs created by the new holidaying boom should make sure they wear the smartest possible clothes to an interview according to Michael Erwin, a senior career adviser for CareerBuilder.com, who told the Charlotte Observer about the importance of dressing well.
