The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has welcomed a new initiative which will get more people in north Wales back into sales jobs.

A recent announcement by the Future Jobs Fund said that 240 new positions, including sales jobs, will be created in the region, bringing the total funding for employment in the area up to £1.56 million.

Philippa George, director for REC Wales, said that the news was a welcome boost for the Welsh jobs market and will greatly help people looking for sales recruitment opportunities.

"We have also set up our own Youth Employment Taskforce comprising professional recruiters, leading employers and business bodies to explore practical solutions to the challenges facing young people out of work," she added.

The Department for Work and Pensions recently said that bid extensions for 4,405 jobs in Wales have been conditionally approved.
