Google 'superphone' set for UK launch

Google has announced a UK launch day for its new superphone and will work alongside Vodafone to make it available to consumers.

The internet giant has started accepting pre-orders of its Nexus One product today and shipments of the product are expected to be ready by April 30th.

People looking for telesales jobs could be selling the new device, as Google revealed the medium will be used to try and encourage consumers to opt for the product.

Andy Rubin, vice president of engineering at Google, said: "The Nexus One belongs in the emerging class of devices which we call 'superphones', with the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset making it as powerful as [a] laptop computer of three to four years ago."

The new product has become very popular with consumers already, with Vodafone announcing that some customers will have to wait more than a week for their new phone due to high demand.
