One of the UK's largest insurance and investment companies is going to create 300 new roles due to impressive growth and some of the positions will be sales jobs.

LV= is going to be recruiting for staff at its offices in cities such as Bournemouth, London, Huddersfield, Hitchin and Bristol.

David Smith, human resources director of LV=, said that - at the moment - the group is going through a significant period of growth and, because of that, it is an exciting time to join the company.

"Our general insurance operation is a particular hotspot for growth and we are looking for people both with experience in this field but also for individuals who are looking to move into this sector from other careers," he said.

Standard Life is another insurance company which has seen growth this year, with a 30 per cent jump in its sales figures in the first quarter of this year.
