iPad launch gets consumers' attention

The anticipated launch of the iPad finally came today with thousands of shoppers queuing up to get their hands on Apples' latest 'must-have' product.

Celebrities like Stephen Fry were attracted to the launch at the company's flagship west-end store, which promoted a product that has sold more than a million units since its US launch eight weeks ago.

People working in retail sales jobs will no doubt be bolstered by the sought-after product, which has been promoted as the piece of technology that bridges the gap between netbooks and smartphones.

Others have predicted the iPad will do more than takeover from netbooks, with the Times's editor James Harding predicting it will help to safeguard the future of forward-thinking newspapers with a net presence.

He told Sky News: "I think there'll be a lot of people who say the iPad is a brilliant way of reading the news; of watching the news; of interacting with the news."

Stuart Hughes, a designer of luxury goods, recently created his "masterpiece", which is a 22-carat gold-plated and diamond-encrusted iPad that retails at £130,000.

Aaron Wallis has a dedicated retail sales team filling sales vacancies across a wide spectrum of the retail industry. Offering a 12 month rebate scheme, Aaron Wallis provides a retail recruitment service that is second to none. Aaron Wallis is a UK based sales recruitment agency.
