Expert: Attitudes will change in sales recruitment

Although, at the moment, there are nine vacancies for every ten skilled workers in London, the balance of power is starting to return to the jobseeker, according to an expert.

Tim Vye, divisional director at Reed Finance, said that the dynamics of the job market are starting to change and are slowly beginning to come back to the middle ground, giving people looking for sales jobs a better chance of securing a position.

The expert said that recruitment requirements will become more flexible as the market becomes less competitive for skilled workers and sales staff will have more options open to them.

"As the battle for talent intensifies, employers will tend to become slightly more flexible with how they view their wish list requirements for candidates," he added.

Recruitment experts Ambition recently stated that London can expect to have 10.3 vacancies for every ten active candidates in the third quarter and 12 vacancies per ten candidates by quarter four.
